Laxative Oral

Suspension for oral administration.

Description

Laxative is a purgative and rumenatoric formulation for veterinary use. It is intended for quick laxative action, and for restoration and normalisation of ruminal movements without irritative effects.

Composition

Contains per ml:

Barium chloride	50 mg.
Aloe extract	50 mg.
Absinthium extract	25 mg.
Oily emulsion ad	1 ml.

Indications

Indigestion, meteorism, omasal obstructions, fecal stasis, colic, intestinal constipation (e.g. sand colic in horses) and gastric repletion in cattle, sheep, goats and horses.

Contra indications

Do not use in the final stages of pregnancy. Avoid prolonged and/or excessive administration.

Side effects

Long-term treatment may result in intestinal irritation caused by limited absorption.

Dosage

For oral administration. Shake well before use.

Purgative treatment:

Cattle and horses	:	100 - 200 ml, according to body weight.
Sheep and goats	:	10 ml per 20 kg of body weight.
Rumenatoric treatment:
Cattle and horses	:	50 - 100 ml, according to body weight.
Sheep and goats	:	5 ml per 20 kg of body weight.

Withdrawal times

- For meat	:	1 day.
- For milk	:	1 day.
